Poppy Making

We had fun working along senior students to produce beautiful poppies for our school ANZAC display.  A great week of learning about the ANZACs.

Australia New Zealand Army Corps

For the first 2 weeks of Term 2 we will be focusing on ANZAC day and the NZ and Australian soldiers who landed at Gallipoli on 25th April 2015.

This year is the 100 year remembrance of this significant event.

  • What do you know about the ANZAC's?
  • Who were the ANZACs?
  • Is it really important for us to remember them? Yes/No? Why?
  • What connections do you have to the ANZAC's?
  • What does ANZAC day mean to you?

S . M . A . R . T Goal Setting

S.M.A.R.T Goals

Cross country is coming and Room 7 are learning all about setting S.M.A.R.T goals to set ourselves up for success in cross country this year.

S    =    Specific

M   =   Measurable

A    =   Achievable

R    =    Realistic

T     =   Time-based

Example:  This year in cross country my goal is to run all the way without stopping.  To achieve this I will train every cross country training at school and also train Monday, Wednesday and Thursday after school by running around our front lawn (or orchard) for 15 minutes.
When I am unable to run I will power walk until I feel like I can run again.
I will achieve this over the next 6 weeks. :)
